While the lending climate improved, certain challenges persist. Debt-service constraints continue to be a major factor due to ongoing staffing challenges and rising operational costs. Construction Loans Remain Low

Despite the positive lending environment, construction loan activity in senior housing has trended below historical norms in the second half of 2024. Notably, nursing care construction lending recorded a much-needed uptick, reaching $38 million in volume during the final quarter.
