McCormick Place, Chicago, September 13, 2025
MOCA Systems will debut Precision Time Planning for its Touchplan platform, introducing minute-level scheduling and built-in shift management to improve field planning and crew coordination. The capability lets teams plan and sequence tasks from weeks down to minutes, support short-duration and repetitive activities, and reassign crews within a day without sacrificing higher-level views. A public demonstration will be held at the NECA Show in Chicago ahead of a rolling commercial release to all Touchplan customers in the first quarter of next year. The feature aims to reduce bottlenecks, improve sequencing accuracy, and streamline collaboration between office and field teams.
MOCA Systems, Inc. (MSI) plans to unveil a new capability for its construction planning platform Touchplan at the National Electrical Contractors Association show in Chicago this September. The feature, called Precision Time Planning, adds the ability to schedule work in intervals as small as minutes and to manage crews across shifts. It will be demonstrated at NECA Show from September 12–15 at McCormick Place, where Touchplan will be at Booth #1615.
The new capability expands Touchplan’s existing planning tools so contractors can plan, sequence, and coordinate tasks by weeks, days, hours, or minutes. Precision Time Planning is built to handle short-duration and repetitive tasks, enable shift-level crew organization, and let teams toggle smoothly between broad daily schedules and very detailed minute-by-minute views.
Precision Time Planning will be available to all Touchplan customers in the first quarter of 2026. MSI will preview the capability at the NECA event in Chicago in September 2025, where attendees can see the new functions in action and discuss deployment plans with company representatives at the booth.
Construction projects often face changing conditions, tight timelines, and many moving parts. The new feature aims to give teams more precise control over sequencing and headcount, helping to spot bottlenecks and reduce schedule slips before they turn into costly delays. The ability to plan parts of a day and then reassign crews to other tasks is presented as a practical way to keep work moving and avoid wasted labor time.
Touchplan is a cloud-based production planning and analytics platform that builds on the collaborative approach of the Last Planner System®. The platform is positioned as an alternative to spreadsheets for complex projects, offering a shared, real-time view of progress and risks to owners, general contractors, and specialty contractors.
MSI positions itself as a provider of services and software for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry with offices across the United States and global partners. Touchplan, MSI’s core product, is described as a real-time, cloud-based tool used by many contractors and trade partners, including large general contractors and specialty firms. The platform is presented as being trusted by a significant number of top contracting firms and designed to help projects stay on schedule and on budget.
MSI leadership frames the new capability as a response to construction’s volatility and need for flexible workforce planning, emphasizing minute-level scheduling and multi-shift crew management while keeping the platform approachable for field teams and executives. A scheduling manager at a contractor that uses Touchplan is reported to view the ability to schedule partial-day activities and reassign crews as a major operational improvement that will boost planning confidence.
Demonstrations of Precision Time Planning will be on site at the NECA Show, September 12–15, at McCormick Place in Chicago. Questions about the product and demonstrations can be directed to MOCA Systems’ marketing communications team via the company website. Touchplan information is available online for teams evaluating production planning and analytics tools.
